Terms and conditions

1. Scope

These terms govern walking tours in Paris and the Île-de-France sold by Maison Voyage. Making a booking means accepting them in full. The terms accepted are those online on the day of booking; their version is recorded with your booking.

2. The service

Tours take place entirely outdoors, in public spaces. Entrance tickets, transport and food are not included unless stated on the tour page. The itinerary, duration and meeting point of each tour are described on its page before booking.

Groups are limited to 10 participants per tour.

Tours are guided in English, Arabic, French, Russian or Georgian, as selected at the time of booking.

3. Booking and payment

Bookings are made at maisonvoyage.fr or by email, at least 24 hours before the tour begins. Prices are shown per person in euros, all taxes included. VAT is not applicable (article 293 B of the French General Tax Code).

Online, the booking takes place as follows:

1. You choose a tour, date, time, number of participants and tour language, and enter your details.
2. A summary shows the total price and these terms. You accept them, then click “Book with obligation to pay”. You can correct any information before this step.
3. You confirm your email address with the code we send you. Your places are then held and we email you the payment instructions.
4. A booking is confirmed only once payment has been received in full and a written confirmation sent to you by email. A request not paid by the day of the tour lapses.

4. Right of withdrawal

Under article L221-28 12° of the French Consumer Code, the fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services supplied on a specific date. The cancellation terms below apply instead.

5. Cancellation by you

• More than 24 hours before the tour: full refund.
• Less than 24 hours before the tour: no refund.
• Failure to appear at the meeting point: no refund.

You can cancel in My bookings or by email.

6. Late arrival

The guide waits at the meeting point for 15 minutes after the stated time. After that the tour begins and no refund is possible. Latecomers are welcome to join the group at their own expense and effort.

7. Cancellation by us

A tour may be cancelled in the event of dangerous weather, illness of the guide, demonstrations, or unforeseen closure of the places visited. You will be offered either a new date or a full refund, at your choice. No further compensation is payable.

8. Safety and responsibility

Tours involve roughly three hours of walking, on cobblestones and stairs. Participants confirm they are physically able to take part and will wear suitable footwear. Participants remain responsible for their own safety and personal belongings. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

9. Complaints, governing law and mediation

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protection of their country of residence. Consumers may bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence or of the place where the tour took place.

Under article L612-1 of the French Consumer Code, you may refer a dispute free of charge to a consumer mediator, after first contacting us in writing: [to be completed].

10. Records and personal data

The record of your booking (reference, tour, date, price, version of these terms accepted) is archived and a copy is available on request. Your personal data is processed as described in our privacy policy.
